“I have finally moved on”,Weasel speaks after the death of Radio

It’s so painful to lose a loved one and it may take you years to get over it. This is not different for Ugandan artist Weasel who lost his music partner  Mowzey Radio.

Weasel says he has moved on  following the sudden death of Radio. Speaking to Adelle Onyango on Kiss FM, the Magnetic hitmaker said,at first he could not listen to the songs they did together.

“I accepted what happened and am back in the studio recording to prove to the world that I can still go on,” said Weasel.

Adding that he stopped going out after Radio died, “it was hard to listen to songs we had done together. everywhere i would go they would play our songs, and that would really hurt me.”

Weasel also talked about the things he regrets doing while Mowzey was still alive. He wishes he would get another chance to treasure the friendship he had with his late friend.

“The biggest lesson I learnt after losing Radio was treasure your friends and be good because they might go forever. I regret those times he would complain that I was not picking his calls when he was still alive. Sometimes I would take life as just normal and would even travel without telling him where I was and he would complain.”

Weasel is in Kenya for Coke Studio 2019 and he is also working on a new album that has 15 songs, as well as Radio’s album, which he left unfinished.

For more than 10 years, Radio and Weasel produced music that touched and moved millions across the world. Weasel is superstar Jose Chameleon’s younger brother.

Mowzey Radio died on a Thursday morning February 1st 2018 at Case hospital in Kampala. The singer had been admitted at the facility for four days after he was brutally assaulted at a bar in Entebbe.

A few days ago, Fresh Kid’s father Paul Mutabazi self-proclaimed Fresh Daddy hit the studio to record his very first song titled ‘Mazike’ and he has disclosed that he is planning a concert.

“People have loved my song ‘Mazike’ and I may need to stage a concert which is also in my manager’s plan.” Mutabazi said.

As his son Fresh Kid was busy rocking Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Fresh Daddy was also busy having a blast and a memorable night at FAME Lounge in Kampala. Big money spenders splashed cash on him that made him forget some lyrics of his song while on stage.

Kampala slay queens where also yearning for a piece of Fresh Daddy during his performance on Monday. It was after tasting the fruits of Kampala night life that he hinted on staging a full concert during an interview with a local TV channel yesterday.

What started as a joke has become serious business as Mutabazi looks more set to progress with his new career insisting that this will be the only way he will make it in life without harming anyone.

They come out here and make everything seems like it’s all love and 100% fine until they part ways, na we dey hear things wey dey shock us.

Maybe. Maybe not. But Davido is overseeing a label that has award winning Mayorkun,FreshVDM who won the best producer award last year at The AFRIMA and Dremo, Peruzziwho we exceptional last year.

Even though the likes of Yonda and Idowestare still struggling.

Can you compare this exceptional track record of successful artistes to Olamide who only has Lil Kesh as his only successful product and Reminisce who under his watch, Sojay a former act became invisible and now Oladips.

What about Starboy who once had LAX that didn’t blow and now Terri is struggling.
